John Draper,
President
John Draper’s real estate career has spanned over 30 years of developing large multifamily projects in Atlanta and the Southeast. As a co-founder and former head of The Sterling Group, a multifamily investment and development company established in 1984, he was involved in the strategic planning and development of approximately 2,500 high end multifamily residential units. John’s sound financial approach and keen sense of real estate market timing allowed him to sell the entire Sterling Group portfolio in 2007, delivering solid returns to investors. In 2010, John, together with his longtime business associate, Mike Busboom, and son Chris Draper, began operations at Preserve Properties, LLC.

Vice President
Mike Busboom has more than 30 years of experience developing and operating multifamily projects. With a background in landscape architecture, he is currently responsible for the management of all construction and development projects for Preserve Properties, from concept to completion. In this role, he controls multi-million dollar budgets and maintains enduring relationships with leading architects, land planners, engineers, inspectors, interior designers and subcontractors. Mike has worked with John Draper for 30 years, a longstanding partnership that has positively impacted their success and number of projects together.

Chris Draper,
Vice President
Chris Draper is responsible for all aspects of Preserve Properties’ development strategy and coordination. His 10+ years of experience in the multifamily industry includes managing activities related to multifamily construction and renovation, internal audit, financial analysis, financing, and property operations. A graduate of the University of Georgia with a concentration in economics, Chris is also focused on Preserve Properties’ site selections and land acquisitions.
